DESCRIPTION:Brightly lit and decorated boats will bring holiday cheer on December 10 at the Petaluma Lighted Boat Parade. Watch the magic happen as the beautifully decorated boats make their way down the Petaluma River. The boat parade leaves the Petaluma Marina at 5:30pm\, and the boats arrive at the Turning Basin around 6:15-6:30 pm. The event is Sponsored by the Petaluma Yacht Club & Petaluma Downtown Association. Petaluma has many unique features\, and the Petaluma River is one of its most important. A family favorite holiday event for decades\, the Holiday Lighted Boat Parade returns in 2022\, giving the Petaluma River a chance to shine. This year\, all types of watercraft will share the spotlight with boats\, kayaks\, Stately yachts\, or one-person stand-up paddleboards\; the spectacle of the lights reflecting off the water is a memorable way to celebrate the season. Boats arrive at Marina at 5:30 for a 6:PM departure. No vessel is too small to join in the fun\, and everyone is welcome. Larger vessels may want to stage in the channel near the entrance of the Marina due to its depth. Please monitor Channel 68 and remember the flotilla is organized from largest to smallest vessels.
