Community discussion: Ghassan Kanafani's Returning to Haifa Returning to Haifa relates the emotions of a Palestinian couple returning to their home in Haifa, which they fled during the 1948 war that led to the creation of the state of Israel. It is a beautifully crafted and moving work of art that raises deeply troubling ethical issues. The discussion will be led by Therese Mughannam and Beverly Voloshin.
